小樽の古い街並みのようなノスタルジックな雰囲気を持つ戸塚さんの作品。雪国の冬のきりりとした冷たさと、降り積もる真っ白な雪。小樽の港に連なる朽ちて錆びた倉庫群の質感など、目にする景色を器に落とし込んでいる。

Tozuka's works carry a nostalgic atmosphere—much like the old streets of Otaru.
They reflect the sharp, quiet cold of winter in the northern region and the pure white snow that falls and settles.
The textures of the rusted and timeworn warehouses lining the port of Otaru, and the landscapes she encounters daily, are translated beautifully into her pottery.
