青緑色の乾いた質感の花器です。活ける自然の草花が美しく映えます。まるで金属が経年により錆びたような古びた優雅さを感じる「緑青」のような深みのある表情。灰を被せては何度も何度も時間をかけて焼成を重ねることで生まれる作品です。こちらは、釉薬のかからない焼締の器です。明るく鈍い青緑色で、表面はざらざらとした凹凸があり、炎と灰により生まれる自然な色むらや質感が特徴的です。

Etsuji Noguchi – Gourd-Shaped Vase verdigris tones
A flower vase with a dry-textured blue-green surface. It beautifully enhances the natural charm of arranged flowers and foliage.It has a deep, nuanced expression reminiscent of verdigris (a blue-green patina), evoking the aged elegance of metal weathered over time. This piece is created through a labor-intensive process in which ash is repeatedly applied and the work is fired many times over an extended period. It is an unglazed, high-fired stoneware (yakishime).
The softly muted blue-green tone features a rough, uneven surface, with natural variations in color and texture created by flame and ash.
