八代淳子さんによる平椀です。分業が主流となっている漆の世界において、木地作りから塗り、仕上げに至る全行程を自ら手がける八代さんの作品には、一貫した美意識が凝縮されています。木工轆轤による挽き目の表情を残した木地に、マットで落ち着いた漆の質感が重なり、モダンでシックな佇まいです。汁物だけでなく、お鍋のとんすいとしてや、煮物を盛り付けるなど、幅広くお使いいただける万能な椀です。

【 素材 】漆、欅
【 備考 】人の手の温度程度のお湯でさっと洗い、すぐに乾いた布で水分を拭き取ってください。または中性洗剤とスポンジ(研磨剤入りでないもの)で洗い、乾いた布で水分を拭き取って下さい。

Junko Yahiro – Urushi Soup Bowl
This is a shallow bowl by Junko Yashiro. In the world of lacquerware, where production is typically divided among specialists, Yashiro personally carries out every stage of the process—from shaping the wooden base to lacquering and final finishing—resulting in a work that embodies a cohesive aesthetic. The wooden body retains the expressive marks of the lathe, layered with a calm, matte lacquer finish that gives the piece a modern and understated presence. Versatile in use, it is suitable not only for soups but also as a tonsui for hot pot dishes or for serving simmered foods.

Material: Japanese lacquer（urushi）, Japanese zelkova
Notes: Please rinse quickly with lukewarm water (about body temperature), then wipe off any moisture immediately with a dry cloth.
Alternatively, wash with a mild (neutral) detergent and a soft sponge (non-abrasive), and wipe dry with a clean, dry cloth.
