扇形をした錫彩の皿です。和紙貼りのさらさらとした細やかな凹凸を感じるマットな質感と風合い。漆を塗り分けることで生まれる濃淡のコントラストもモダンな雰囲気です。分業が主流となっている漆の世界において、木地作りから塗り、仕上げに至る全行程を自ら手がける八代さんの作品には、一貫した美意識が凝縮されています。

【 素材 】漆、錫、胡桃
【 備考 】人の手の温度程度のお湯でさっと洗い、すぐに乾いた布で水分を拭き取ってください。または中性洗剤とスポンジ(研磨剤入りでないもの)で洗い、乾いた布で水分を拭き取って下さい。

Junko Yahiro – Uchiwa-shaped Plate
This uchiwa-shaped plate features a tin-finished surface. Its matte texture, with subtle, fine irregularities created by the application of washi paper, offers a soft, tactile quality. The tonal contrasts produced by selectively applied layers of lacquer lend the piece a modern sensibility.
In the world of lacquerware, where production is typically divided among specialists, Junko Yashiro personally undertakes every stage of the process—from shaping the wooden base to lacquering and final finishing—resulting in a work imbued with a cohesive aesthetic vision.

Material: Japanese lacquer（urushi）, tin, Japanese walnut wood
Notes: Please rinse quickly with lukewarm water (about body temperature), then wipe off any moisture immediately with a dry cloth.
Alternatively, wash with a mild (neutral) detergent and a soft sponge (non-abrasive), and wipe dry with a clean, dry cloth.
