縁に幅の狭いリムのある青緑色の質感のあるプレートです。まるで金属が経年により錆びたような古びた優雅さを感じる「緑青」のような深みのある表情。灰を被せては何度も何度も時間をかけて焼成を重ねることで生まれる作品です。こちらは、釉薬のかからない焼締の器です。
明るく鈍い青緑色で、表面はざらざらとした凹凸があり、炎と灰により生まれる自然な色むらや質感が特徴的です。乗せるものの背景として印象的に映り、インテリアや食卓のアクセントとなります。
フォークの使用は不向きですので、お箸でいただくようなお料理やつまめるようなお料理や菓子などに向いています。

Etsuji Noguchi – Rim Plate verdigris tones（16.5cm)
A plate with a narrow rim and a textured blue-green surface. It has a deep, nuanced expression reminiscent of verdigris (a blue-green patina), evoking the aged elegance of metal weathered over time. This piece is created through a labor-intensive process in which ash is repeatedly applied and the work is fired many times over an extended period. It is an unglazed, high-fired stoneware (yakishime).
The softly muted blue-green tone features a rough, uneven surface, with natural variations in color and texture created by flame and ash. It provides a striking backdrop for whatever is placed upon it, making it a distinctive accent for both table settings and interiors.
Due to its textured surface, it is not suitable for use with forks. It is best suited for dishes enjoyed with chopsticks, such as small bites, appetizers, or sweets.
